Nico Carroll
Game Developer
Nico Carroll was born in Davis, California, though he has spent a few years, on and off, living in Germany. He was introduced to the joy of gaming at age 8, with the basic and expert Dungeons and Dragons sets. By age 10, Nico had begun designing his own science-fiction role playing game, and has continued the hobby of game design ever since.
Before coming to TableStar Games in August of 2004, he had designed several role-playing games, a board-based war game, and a card game or two. However, his aversion to the withering scrutiny of the public eye prevented any of these fine titles from seeing the light of publication.
In the heady days of the early nineties, Nico attended UC Berkeley to study Integrative Biology. Some years later, he emerged with a bachelor’s degree and the inability to put it to any profitable use. So he contented himself with pedantic pontification on the finer points of cnidarian reproduction, and with work in far-flung fields bearing little relation to biology, integrative or otherwise.
His career spanned the gambit from vegetable immigration control to bonded and certified trampoline instruction, and everything in between. This meteoric trajectory eventually landed him at TableStar Games, which to this day continues to do its part for society, by keeping him off the streets. Nico Carroll designed
